To establish a place of welcome and hospitality for all members of the community with a view to extending God’s kingdom

Fulfilling this vision brings people from different churches into the Centre each day, leading and taking part in the many different activities and expressing God’s love through their service

Meeting Point Coffee Shop

Our friendly coffee shop is open to everyone. It’s a welcoming place where you can meet for a chat or make new friends. We get all ages from parents and grandparents with babies and toddlers to senior citizens. All are welcome and important to us.

We are open every morning, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 – to 12:30. (Apart from Christmas week, Bank Holidays and during August).

Meeting Point is run by volunteers who will be happy to serve you with hot or cold drinks, snacks, toast or the ever popular tea cakes! Many of our products are Fair Trade.

Our dedicated children’s area has high chairs and toys for preschool children,. Nappy changing facilities available.

The Centre Shop

Is open at the same times as Meeting Point. It has a wide range of very reasonably priced cards, gifts and fairly traded foods produced by organisations which ensure the producers get a reasonable return for their work. We also stock a small range of Christian books, children’s books and Bibles. We can order books which are not in stock.

Small Talk

Small Talk is the name of the church toddler group, of which there are 2 sessions. Children and their carers meet on a Wednesday morning from 10.00 – 11.30 and a Wednesday afternoon from 1.00 – 2.30. The main hall is open where a large variety of toys are available. An area is separated for the young babies where baby chairs and age-appropriate toys are provided. Large cushions and books make a cosy reading place. Ride on toys and an activity frame are central to the fun with table top toys and craft activities also provided. The fun pauses for drinks and biscuits (tea and coffee for carers) before finishing with a short singing session.

Please drop in to either group for a taster session. At busy times you may be asked to join a waiting list.

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.

Billy Graham

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
